Happy Sunday!
Bishop Alexis A. Thomas preached, "I Feel Like Something Is Coming!" He used Proverbs 3:9-10 as his reference scriptures.
Proverbs 3:9-10 says, "Honor the Lord with your wealth and the first part of your harvest. Then your barns will be full of grain, and your barrels will be overflowing with wine." (ERV Version)
Our enemy wants to diminish our sense of expectation! He wants us to doubt GOD. He doesn't want us to look for better, anticipate better, or believe for better. The enemy enjoys seeing us depressed, oppressed, and obsessed with negativity.
The WORD says, "That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? When the time comes, we’ll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming." 2 Corinthians 5:7 (Message Translation) This same verse in The King James Version says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight".
"Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1 (God's Word Translation)
I agree with Bishop, "I feel like something is coming!" It may not be easy, and it may not come quickly, but something good is coming your way! When we obey GOD we show our Faith. The WORD says, "It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him." Hebrews 11:6 (Message Translation)
Something GOOD is coming your way!
Love and prayers, Cynthia
