Happy Sunday!
"Let Christ himself be your example as to what your ATTITUDE should be. For he, who had always been God by nature, did not cling to his prerogatives as God’s equal, but stripped himself of all privilege by consenting to be a slave by nature and being born as mortal man. And, having become man, he humbled himself by living a life of utter OBEDIENCE, even to the extent of dying, and the death he died was the death of a common criminal. That is why God has now LIFTED him so high, and has given him the NAME beyond all names, so that at the name of Jesus “every knee shall bow”, whether in Heaven or earth or under the earth. And that is why, in the end, “every tongue shall confess” that Jesus Christ” is the Lord, to the glory of God the Father."(Philippians 2:5-11 Phillips). The Bible is chock full of examples of how to live, and how not to live. Our greatest example of how to live is Jesus. Hebrews 2:18 says, "For since he himself has now been through suffering and temptation, he knows what it is like when we suffer and are tempted, and he is wonderfully able to help us."(Living Bible). Jesus proved that it can be done, and with him we can do all things.(Philippians 4:13).
Whatever we may face, the Name of Jesus, and the Authority to use that name will always cause us to triumph.(2 Corinthians 2:14). That's good news! No matter what it looks like in the natural, WE WIN! 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 says, "We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don’t know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again."(CEV).
Love and prayers, Cynthia
