Fighting to Keep Your Healing

 Happy Sunday!

"This is what the Lord says: “Bad things will happen to those who put their trust in people. Bad things will happen to those who depend on human strength. That is because they have stopped trusting the Lord."(Jeremiah 17:5 Easy-to-Read Version). The Gospel is always Good News!  There comes a time when we need a reminder that there are some bad things in the world!  The old saints used to say we won't always walk around on "flower beds of ease"!  Brother Kenneth Hagin used to say, "Blessings and Good Things weren't just going to fall on us like ripe cherries falling from a tree!  We have our part to play in the grand scheme of things.  We are in a battle.  The Apostle Paul encouraged us, "Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, just as I do; and as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in worldly affairs, for then you cannot SATISFY the one who has enlisted you in his army.  Follow the Lord’s rules for doing his work, just as an athlete either follows the Rules or is DISQUALIFIED and wins no prize. Work hard like a farmer who gets paid well if he raises a large crop. Think over these three illustrations, and may the Lord help you to understand how they apply to you."(2 Timothy 2:3-7 Living Bible).Don't miss this!  Suffering for the Gospel doesn't mean we have to accept everything that comes our way!  Acts 10:38 says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing GOOD, and Healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."(KJV).  Jesus healed everyone, and the Bible tells us those that were sick were oppressed by the Devil!  God didn't put sickness on people to teach them anything!  The Devil puts sickness on people to "steal, kill, and destroy" them.(John 10:10). We are not the sick trying to get healed, we are the well fighting to keep our healing!  Jesus already paid the price for our Healing!Isaiah 53:4-5 says, "He suffered and endured great pain for us, but we thought his suffering was punishment from God. He was wounded and crushed because of our sins; by taking our punishment, he made us COMPLETELY WELL."(CEV).Love and prayers, Cynthia
