Happy Sunday!
"Be NOT deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us NOT be weary in well doing: for in due season WE SHALL REAP, if we faint not."(Galatians 6:7-9 KJV).
Don't be deceived! Don't be weary!
The word "Deceit" is defined in the 1828 Webster's Dictionary as "Literally, a catching or ensnaring. Hence, the misleading of a person; the leading of another person to believe what is false, or NOT to believe what is true, and thus to ensnare him; fraud; fallacy; cheat; any declaration, artifice or practice, which misleads another, or causes him to believe what is false."
The Apostle Paul was writing to Christians. Don't miss this! It is possible for Christians to be deceived. How? You may ask. It is possible to be deceived when we lack TRUTH. What is truth? Jesus said, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you FREE."(John 8:32 KJV). "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."(John 14:6 KJV).
John 16:13 says, "When the Holy Spirit, who is TRUTH, comes, he shall guide you into ALL truth, for he will not be presenting his own ideas, but will be passing on to you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future."(Living Bible).
The word "Weary" is defined in the 1828 Webster's Dictionary as, "Having the patience exhausted, or the mind yielding to discouragement." Jesus said, "By your steadfastness and PATIENT endurance you shall WIN the true life of your souls."(Luke 21:19 Amplified). Romans 15:4 says, "Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the SCRIPTURES give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled."(NLT).
Keep the WORD first place in your life. Don't be deceived! Don't be weary!
Love and prayers, Cynthia
